Following cancellation of our cross country trial today due to circumstances beyond our control, the committee of NIMAA have decided that we will use the results of the Comber Cup on 12th October as a reference in selection of the team.
The same selection criteria will be applied as was indicated for the original trial. This is the first 3 finishers for 5 athlete teams and the first 2 from 4 athlete teams. The remaining places in each team will be at the discretion of the selection committee.
We fully recognise that not all athletes will be free to compete in the Comber Cup and we invite anyone in this position to forward results from recent races as evidence of their current performance levels which can be taken into consideration when picking the teams. Email should be forwarded to: nimaa.memsec@gmail.com by midnight on Saturday 11th October.
Enter the Comber Cup (entries are open until Wednesday 1pm) – please note: M60 athletes should run the 5.5km race at Comber (John McKeag Cup)
