The Belfast City Marathon was started in 1982 and has grown into one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland. It is part of the World Athletics Label Road Race series and attracts in excess of 15,000 athletes each year. The 26.2 mile route starts from the imposing grounds of Stormont before meandering through all areas of the city, and finishing in Ormeau Park.
Belfast City Marathon also organise the Belfast City Half Marathon and a Women’s 10K, which is hosted in Belfast’s stunning Titanic Quarter.
